Welcome to QNL’s Engineering Subject Guide!

Everything in our lives needs to be planned and engineered before it is constructed such as roads, buildings, bridges, cars, planes, unmanned vehicles, consumer electronics, computers, phones and other devices. Engineering design is even a necessity for manufacturing the clothes we wear.

This guide provides an overview of recommended QNL collections on engineering such as databases, books, journals, reference and other resources, printed or digital, that are accessible through different websites and platforms.

Please search the QNL Catalog to find out which of the recommended resources can be accessed in digital format on the QNL website. The catalog also indicates where these resources can be obtained if available only in a printed format.

IEEE Xplore Digital Library 
IEEE Xplore provides access to 3.1 million full-text documents from some of the world’s most frequently cited publications in electrical engineering, computer science and electronics.

ProQuest 
This search page that will simultaneously search most ProQuest resources.

ScienceDirect
Science Direct is a full-text database of scientific ebooks covering physical sciences, engineering, life sciences, health, social sciences and humanities. The Library’s current subscription provides full-text access to about 20,000 book chapters and more than 2,500 journals.

SpringerLink 
This large collection includes scientific, technical and medical ebooks and journals; ebooks that do not show a summary are available in full text.
