Qatar National Library recently welcomed Terry Booth, the author of Qatar: Bite by Bite, for a talk on his journey from food blogger to published author. The event featured an engaging talk from Booth, followed by a Q&A session with the attendees. The author discussed his experiences writing his debut book, as well as his thoughts on the culinary scene in Qatar.
As part of its writing support services, the Library was also able to support the author from his concept through to publication via writing consultations and the Creative Writing Circle sessions available at the Library.
Qatar: Bite by Bite is a lighthearted food lovers' guide to eating out in Qatar, containing reviews of more than 100 dining establishments across the country, representing over 40 types of international cuisine. The reviews are organized by geographical area, and each chapter recounts Booth's experiences dining out, whether alone or with friends, family, or as part of a group, capturing a specific moment in time.
Booth went to great lengths to highlight the best deals at some of the finest eateries Qatar has to offer, including the country's famous weekend brunches and mid-week business lunches. He also highlighted the buy-one-get-one-free discount apps, such as the Entertainer, MyBook, and Urban Points, which offer a range of deals for diners across Qatar.
