Did you know that chess improves memory and problem-solving skills, and raises IQ? It is a fun and engaging way to improve focus, think strategically and spark creativity. Join us for a weekly, informal chess gathering at the Library open to all ages and skill levels! Whether you are a chess enthusiast or just curious to learn how to play, come along to learn the basics, meet fellow players and enjoy a little bit of competition. Chess sets will be provided. All you need to do is come, join us!

The Murshidi Education - My Next Step program is designed to support high school students as they prepare for their academic journey after graduation. Led by University and Career Advisor Jacqueline L. Nottingham, the program will guide participants through the key stages of university preparation — from understanding admission requirements and application systems in Qatar and abroad, to navigating official procedures such as certificate equivalency, scholarships, and student guidance.
