Qatar National Library (QNL) and the Shafallah Centre for Persons with Disabilities signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on 7 December 2015, for educational and informational cooperation to further their institutions and Qatar’s research, education and community interests.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Claudia Lux, QNL Project Director and the Shafallah’s Executive Director Mr. Mohammed Badr Al-Sada.
The MoU signing is in line with supporting the Qatar National Vision 2030 aim of establishing a knowledge-based economy that sustains economic growth, social and human resources development and environmental protection.
The MoU states that the two institutions would cooperate in areas such as e-resources sharing, programmes for researchers and staff, cooperative reference services, shared catalog, inter-library loans and training.
