The history of Qatar, traced through the collections of various Qatari family collections, is being brought to life at an exhibition which opened today at Qatar National Library. The Library’s leadership and representatives of several notable Qatari families attended the opening ceremony.
The exhibition, entitled Qatar Through Private Collections, highlights the contributions that the people of Qatar have made to preserving the nation’s identity, history and heritage. Visitors can view previously unseen collections of historical photos, artefacts and documents.
Local community members are welcome to visit the exhibition, which will continue until 31 January 2019, as part of the Library’s month-long celebration of Qatar National Day.
