Test your knowledge about Ramadan! All young adults are welcome to join an online trivia contest through Microsoft Teams and the Kahoot! app. Participants will need to have two devices (computer\phone) in order to join. The top three winners from each session will get a prize from the Library. The event will be conducted online via Microsoft Teams.

Ramadan Mubarak! Let’s celebrate Ramadan together. Join the Library’s virtual decoration workshop and create fun crafts with easily available materials. In the first session, we’ll create Ramadan-themed decorations and crafts. The second session will have a craft dedicated to Garangao. It’s going to be loads of fun!

The world celebrates World Book and Copyright Day on the 23rd of April every year. The Library is pleased to host Abdul Rahman Ismail, Co-founder & COO of the Akhdar platform, which provides summaries of hundreds of famous and best-selling books in creative and simple ways. In this session, we will learn about the Akhdar Platform project, how the idea started, its objectives, applications, achievements, current and future projects, and global partnerships to spread knowledge and enhance reading through various activities in many countries. The event will highlight secrets of success of this cultural project that attracted more than one million subscribers on its YouTube channel. Opportunities and challenges for cultural projects in the Arab world will also be discussed.

The session will introduce attendees to Qatar National Library's Open Access Author Fund and describe how authors in Qatar can benefit from the fund to publish in open access journals. The session will also briefly outline the concept of open access and how it can benefit research in Qatar.
