Dr. Yehia Abdelmobdy Mohamed is an associate professor at Georgetown University in Qatar (GU-Q). His research interests cover three areas: applied linguistics (language acquisition and error analysis), phonology, and language changes and sociolinguistics. Recently he authored Reading the Arab World from Routledge and coauthored Diplomacy Arabic, a reference book from Edinburgh University Press.
In addition to his contributions to the Arabic program at GU-Q since 2007, he founded the Arabic Book Club in the fall of 2016 to bring the intellectual community in Doha together every month to read and discuss an Arabic book.
