Online Technology Camp

The Library is collaborating with Studio 5/6, an initiative by the Ministry of Transport and Communication, to deliver the first Online Technology Camp in April. Studio 5/6 is a digital fabrication laboratory designed to teach students the principals of digital fabrication and electronics. The online camp is for children ages 7 to 18 and will cover the following topics: electronics, coding, 3D design, gaming and machine learning. Spying on Whales

It’s easy to see why whales have captured the human imagination. Operating at the furthest edge of physiological extremes, their mysterious lives beneath the observable ocean surface can make whales seem otherworldly; yet, in their undeniable intelligence and social nature, we also recognize something of ourselves. To really understand whales, we must dig into their fascinating evolutionary history and search for insights about their place in past environments. With knowledge of past whale worlds, we can assess the current challenges that whales face and work to protect their place in the oceans of the future.
