Join us with your little ones for an hour of fun and engaging activities about colors and numbers.

Scrivener is a powerful piece of writing software, but it can be daunting for beginners and difficult to master. This session will introduce the basics of organizing, writing and compiling your project. For more advanced users, there will be tips on how to maximize its potential. Writers of both fiction (e.g. poetry, short stories, and novels) and non-fiction (e.g. memoirs, academic papers and dissertations) are welcome. Parents are invited to this special session with Amina Zerouane, Manager of Barara Nursery, and Zakia Laiti. They will discuss ways to identify and assess the verbal issues and concerns of your child in terms of the stages of communication development.  

The Scamper program is one of the most successful methods of creative thinking, providing seven different approaches to problem-solving. Join us to learn about this simple but effective approach that you can apply in your academic and personal lives.

Did you know that chess improves memory, problem-solving and IQ? It's also a wonderful way to improve focus, flex those creativity muscles, and most important, kids have fun playing. Come to the Chess Club to learn the basics, make some friends and enjoy a little bit of competition.

Join us to discover and explore the Library's various online resources for middle school and high school students, including research tools, ebooks, audiobooks and periodicals.

Join this casual gathering of knitters and crocheters every Thursday from 9:00 – 11:00 AM to work on projects and share skills in a friendly atmosphere. Participants are welcome to bring their own supplies and projects or borrow the Library’s needles and yarn. All skill levels are welcome, including beginners who are interested in learning. Sensory stories are a great way to support children with special needs. Join us for this specially designed multisensory story program for children with an autism spectrum disorder, sensory processing disorder or a developmental disability. Kids will enjoy sensory storytelling and other multisensory activities. 

Board games are a fun way to let off some competitive steam and make new friends. Join us in the Main Plaza for two hours of friendly matches. Games will be available to borrow at the Information Desk. 

Coloring can be a soothing technique for children and parents alike. Bring your child and enjoy this fun coloring activity together.
