Join this casual gathering of knitters and crocheters every Thursday in the Main Plaza from 9:00 – 11:00 AM to work on projects and share skills in a friendly atmosphere. Participants are welcome to bring their own supplies and projects or borrow the Library’s needles and yarn. All skill levels are welcome, including beginners who are interested in learning. Have you ever wondered, how do you can get inspired to bring characters to life on the page? Which drawing tools would you need? Can you be an illustrator?

The Library, in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Sports, will host the Qatari Forum for Authors, a day-long discussion to enrich the cultural and literary scene in Qatar.

Syria Under the French Mandate, a Library exhibition in partnership with the Museum of Islamic Art, focuses on Syria from 1918 – 1946, a time when France fulfilled the role of a controlling power in the area.

In this hands-on workshop, we'll explore apps on iOS and Android devices that can help autistic children, their families, educators and people working with autism face daily challenges and enhance learning and communication.

The Creative Writing Circle is an opportunity for creative writers to come together and share their work. The group will provide inspiration, feedback and encouragement in a supportive environment. So whatever stage you’re at, come along and get writing! Sessions will be held between 9 – 11 AM on Tuesdays.

Need a place to study? How about some help with your homework or assignment? The Library is the place to be. We will have volunteers ready to support you with your academic needs in math, science, English and social sciences. No need to register, just come!
