The Arab Federation for Libraries and Information (AFLI) is pleased to announce its 36th annual conference, which will be held in Qatar, in partnership with Qatar National Library, from 23 to 25 November 2025.
This year’s conference will focus on the theme of “Digital Justice”, a subject of increasing significance given the vital role of information in driving development, fostering innovation and shaping decision-making. The theme is closely connected to key issues such as digital transformation, digital citizenship and open science.
The conference aims to encourage Arab researchers to present in-depth studies showcasing regional experiences in achieving digital justice. It will also explore the digital divide related to language and culture, offering a comprehensive analysis of its challenges and opportunities. These studies will help assess current efforts across the Arab world and provide actionable recommendations to enhance Arabic digital content, promote digital justice, and support the development of AI applications that meet the evolving needs of Arab societies.
Conference Objectives
In an era where information drives growth and innovation, the conference will explore how digital justice supports digital transformation, strengthens digital citizenship and fosters open science.
Through this platform, we aim to:
- Present in-depth research highlighting successful Arab experiences in digital justice.
- Examine the linguistic and cultural digital divide and explore practical solutions.
- Enhance the presence of Arabic digital content and develop strategies to advance AI applications aligned with the needs of Arab communities.
Call for Participation
AFLI invites researchers and professionals to submit scientific papers and participate in discussions that will enrich knowledge-sharing and contribute to recommendations supporting digital justice across the Arab world.
