Qatar National Library will commence its five-day Virtual College Fair to help students learn how they can study abroad. The Library is collaborating with 25 American and Canadian universities to share useful tips and insights with the students during the event. The fair will begin on 20 February with five universities participating every day and close on 24 February 2022.
These sessions will provide students with an opportunity to learn about the admissions process and the available academic programs at each of the universities. The online sessions, which will be conducted in English, can accommodate up to 300 participants, who will have access to five university representatives each day.
On 20 February, EducationUSA, Arkansas State University, State University of New York, Bishop’s University and Douglas College will commence the first session.
On 21 February, the University of Prince Edward Island, University Canada West, University of Guelph, McMaster University and Northern College will discuss their admission procedures and criteria for students.
On 22 February, representatives from the University of Winnipeg, Ontario Tech University, Concordia University, Lakehead University and the Manitoba Institute of Trades and Technology will participate in the session.

Finally, on 24 February, the University of Regina, UniLasalle, Algonquin College and the University of Iowa will conclude the five-day session on studying abroad.
On the occasion, Ahmed Yousef Almalki, Head of Young Adults at Qatar National Library, said, “As students prepare to graduate from their final year at school, they will need support and guidance to help decide on the college and university they want to attend. As a regional knowledge hub and a national public library, it is our responsibility to support future generations and prepare them for the real world. We believe the Virtual College Fair will be useful to all participants in gaining firsthand knowledge on the admissions procedures for some of the most renowned colleges in the US and Canada.”
