Qatar National Library (QNL), a member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science, and Community Development (QF), attended the Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) and the American Library Association (ALA) annual conference that was held at Sharjah Expo Centre from the 8th to the 10th of November.
To showcase the information service history, QNL presented a poster titled “Qatar National Library: Past and Present”, which tells the story of the National Library in Qatar- since 1962- highlighting important dates and turning points, including the official opening of QNL and the built of its impressive building.
The conference this year witnessed library solutions systems inaugurated by the exhibitors and vendors and the conference sessions covered many important topics such as; how the library transformation is essential to served communities, technology trends you need, Planning and promoting library services, spaces and activities for teenagers, the future of libraries and much more.
