Recycling is the process of converting waste materials into reusable products to prevent waste of these potentially useful materials. The Library, in cooperation with the Friends of the Environment Center, will conduct a workshop to recycle your special supplies at home, such as paper, cloth and plastic, so you can help preserve your environment and create wonderful new products.

In the second season of the Productive Researcher Series, we will focus on research methodologies. We will bring experts from around the world to discuss on most commonly used research methodologies. In this session, we will discuss content and critical discourse analysis. Special guest Dr. Jairo Lugo-Ocando, Director of Executive and Graduate Education at Northwestern University in Qatar, will share his expertise on content analysis.

Early childhood is considered the optimal period for developing speech and language skills in children. During this interactive session, we will learn how we can support the development of our children's speech and language skills. Each participant will create an educational toolbox and fill it with simple strategies to support their children's ability to communicate and build their language skills. The session will be presented by speech and language pathologist Ruba Dababat from The Learning Center at Qatar Foundation.

Machine learning algorithms are already running in most of our machines: phones, computers and everything that is digital. In this session, Albert Yumol, a data scientist, will introduce participants to the concepts of machine learning and artificial intelligence and how they are applied to projects in object detection, face recognition and smart chatbot systems. After the session, participants will be able to make an algorithm that classifies images in a zoo.
