Moms, bring your children (ages 1 – 5) to this interactive session where you can make baby shark headbands. These cute headbands can be used for games, pretend play or as part of costumes.

In this event for people with disabilities and their families and caretakers, we will demonstrate the wide range of accessibility apps. These are available on a wide range of devices and operating systems, and are designed to help people with a variety of disabilities.
Weekly Knitting and Crochet Circle

Join this casual gathering of knitters and crocheters every Thursday from 9:00 – 11:00 am to work on projects and share skills in a friendly atmosphere. Participants are welcome to bring their own supplies and projects or to borrow the Library’s needles and yarn. All skill levels are welcome, including beginners who are interested in learning. As part of International Open Access Week, we will screen the film Paywall: The Business of Scholarship. This documentary focuses on the need for open access to research and science, questions the rationale behind the $25.2 billion a year that flows into for-profit academic publishers, examines the 35-40% profit margin associated with the top academic publisher Elsevier, and looks at how that profit margin is often greater than some of the most profitable tech companies.
