Farida Aboudan joined the UNESCO Office for the Gulf Countries and Yemen in October 2021 as Program Specialist for Education, where she manages education programs focusing on the SDG4, global citizenship education, and technical and educational vocational training. Aboudan also has an interest in issues of curriculum, certification and accreditation, citizenship education and innovation in education. Prior to joining UNESCO, she worked with the Education Above All (EAA) Foundation in Qatar, managing several projects in the Middle East, Asia and Africa. Serving in UNICEF’s Middle East and North Africa regional office in Jordan, Aboudan has worked extensively on Education in Emergencies (EiE) programs with a specific focus on the Syria crisis education response and the No Lost Generation (NLG) initiative. Farida holds a master’s degree in International Education and Development from the University of Sussex, UK.
