VISA
Generally, all non-Qatari visitors require a visa to enter Qatar, although certain nationalities are eligible for a visa on arrival. In case of the need of an invitation letter to the forum, please contact Rana Abdulrahman on the email [email protected]. It is the responsibility of the participant to check their visa specific requirements according to their nationality. Please click here for visa requirement.
Please note that visa requirements can occasionally change at short notice. It is the sole responsibility of participants to ensure they have the correct visa required to enter Qatar. Please note that Qatar National Library accepts no liability for any “Libraries Lead” participants who do not secure a visa.

Participants attending “Libraries Lead” should make accommodation arrangements personally. Doha offers a wide range of accommodation options. Please click here for options.
Transportation
Participants will need to make their own arrangements for transportation to and from the forum venue.
- Taxis
The national transport company Mowasalat operates the bus, taxi and limousine service Karwa. Taxi fares around Doha vary according to the time of day and type of vehicle. Taxi booking line for Karwa: (+974) 4458 8888, you can also download Karwa Taxi mobile application. Uber & Careem are available in Qatar at any time and on any day of the year. You can book them through their mobile applications.
- Tourist Buses
Tourist bus services recently introduced to Doha. Doha Bus is a hop-on, hop-off bus service. Tickets need to be purchased in advance. For more information, click here.
- Metro
The Doha Metro Green Line Qatar National Library station started operating in December 2019. The line starts at Al-Mansoura station and ends at Al-Riffa. Once at the Library Metro station, it takes five minutes’ walk to the main entrance. Trains arrive every six minutes and the journey between stations lasts approximately three minutes. You can also use the metro network to move around Doha. Qatar National Library has a metro station that you can use to go to your hotels in downtown.
