Dr. M. Evren Tok is the Associate Professor and Program Coordinator for the MA program in Islam and Global Affairs at Hamad Bin Khalifa University’s College of Islamic Studies (CIS), and the Assistant Dean for Innovation and Community Development. Tok also acts as the regional coordinator for the Executive Master’s Program (Development Policies and Practices) jointly offered by the Graduate Institute of Geneva and Hamad Bin Khalifa University. He is the co-editor of Policy Making in a Transformative State: The Case of Qatar with Lolwah AlKhater and Leslie Pal, 2016. He is the director of a QNRF-funded cluster (2021-2026) entitled “SDG Education and Global Citizenship in Qatar” and he is the Lead Project Investigator for the Qatar National Research Fund Priority Program on “Localizing Entrepreneurship Education in Qatar”.
Tok is also the founder of the maker space entitled Maker Majlis: Islam in a Global World, which received a Qatar Sustainability Award in the Best University Initiative category in 2020.
