A group of Qataris who have demonstrated outstanding service to society shared their experiences, today, with visitors at Qatar National Library.
The event, entitled, ‘The Pride of Qatar,’ was part of the Library’s month-long Qatar National Day celebration. The inspirational Qataris discussed how they have excelled in their respective fields and positively influenced the local community in recent years.
‘A progressive nation is built through the collective efforts of its people,’ said Haya Al-Sheeb, Information Services Librarian at Qatar National Library. ‘Each and every contribution adds to a nation’s strength and identity, and it is only fitting that we recognize individuals who have gone beyond expectations and added enormous value to society.’
Speakers at the event came from a variety of backgrounds and included Sheikha Asma Al Thani, Major Kholoud Al-Naimi, Dr. Khaled Al-Khulaifi, Captain Khaled Al-Hammadi and Mr. Mohamed Albinali.
