Qatar National Library Attends Second Renaissance of Arabic Language Forum

25 August 2016

Qatar National Library (QNL), a member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF), recently participated in the second Renaissance of Arabic Language Forum held at Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC).

Hosted by the World Organization for Renaissance of Arabic Language (WORAL), the conference, entitled ‘Linguistic Upbringing of The Arab Child - The Reality and Prospects for the Future’, was aimed at raising awareness and promoting children’s acquisition of the Arabic language.

The forum explored the different factors affecting the linguistic learning abilities of children while highlighting the key role parents play in the education and development of their children.

QNL’s booth at the conference featured a host of engaging activities aimed at enhancing the Arabic language skills of children. In addition to taking part in a puppet show featuring traditional tales, puzzles and educational games, families and children were also given the opportunity to learn about ‘Edutechoz’, an Arabic Language game database.

QNL’s public registration team hosted informative sessions about the library’s online learning resources and helped visitors at the forum register for the library’s membership.
