Music lovers from across Qatar attended a concert by Qatari composer, songwriter and symphonic artist Dana Al Fardan at Qatar National Library.
The concert, “Sounds of Qatar: Music of Dana Al Fardan,” featured several of Al Fardan’s most notable compositions, including her musical piece commissioned by the Library, “The Sounds of the Library.” Al Fardan’s work has gained international recognition, and she was recently named the official composer of Qatar Airways.
“I love music and really enjoyed the event, and was amazed by the participation. I come here often to read books and use the music room at the Library’s Innovation Station, and it was inspiring for me as an aspiring musician to see Dana Al Fardan’s music performed in front of such a large audience,” said Saad Ahmed, who attended concert.
