We will set off on our journey through this unique art form with theoretical and practical foundations of Arabic calligraphy aesthetics, history and most important tools. Hassan Al-Hajj, Professor of Arabic Calligraphy, will teach us online about two types of fonts that the Arabs used and are still using: Naskh and Thuluth scripts. This will be followed by a practical session in the Library building to practice and apply what has been discussed in the theoretical sessions. 

The Library, in collaboration with the Doha Environmental Actions Project, presents this session in which participants can learn about local marine life and how plastic pollution in Qatar has an impact on it. Participants will learn simple things they can do to fix the problem.

If your students are between 10 and 16 years old and have an interest in the field of scientific research, we encourage you to invite your students to join this challenge to acquire many skills of scientific writing, document references and many more.

The Children’s Library is happy to collaborate with our partners at Britannica Group to provide an introductory session about Britannica School, an online resource that helps develop children's love of learning by presenting learning materials in a fun and entertaining manner that encourages exploration.

In celebration of World Mental Health Day on 10 October, we invite you to the workshop “Understanding Depression.” In this workshop, we will debunk typical myths about depression, clarify symptoms you should know to recognize this disorder, and discuss what causes depression and how psychologists can help. 

The overall health of our children is not fulfilled without considering their mental health. It affects their way of thinking, self-image, productivity and relationships with others.
