The Writers’ Circle is an opportunity for creative writers to come together and share their work. The group will provide inspiration, feedback and encouragement in a supportive environment. So whatever stage you’re at, come along and get writing! Sessions will be held between 9 – 11 AM on Tuesdays.

Need a place to study? How about some help with your homework or assignment? The Library is the place to be. We will have volunteers ready to support you with your academic needs in math, science, English and social sciences. No need to register, just come!

In this month's meeting of Readers and Opinions, we will discuss Baynama Yanaam Al Aalam, by Susan Abulhawa. The novel tells the story of a family uprooted from its Palestine home in 1948. Copies of the book are available at the User Services Desk.

To celebrate this month's Qatar National Sports Day, we are conducting a mini color race for our little ones so they can both get exercise and learn about colors!

Join this casual gathering of knitters and crocheters every Thursday from 9:00 – 11:00 AM to work on projects and share skills in a friendly atmosphere. Participants are welcome to bring their own supplies and projects or borrow the Library’s needles and yarn. All skill levels are welcome, including beginners who are interested in learning. More and more people are choosing to become vegan. The good news is, you can be a vegan and still enjoy traditional Qatari Food!  Attend this lecture to meet Ghanim Al Sulaiti, founder of Evergreen Café, who will share his experiences and his favorite Qatari vegan recipes.

Looking to sharpen your debate skills? Join us for this two-part workshop in collaboration with Qatar Debate on 6 February and 27 February. Participants will read the classic novel 1984, by George Orwell, and debate its themes.

This is a discussion forum for parents, educators and special needs community to help understand children with ADHD and how it affects their attention in school, at home and in relationships. The guest speakers in this joint program with Community Connect Doha are Dr. Nahed Al Ateeqi, from Sidra Medicine, and Bassam Hamad, an occupational therapist at Awsaj Teaching and Learning Center.
