Abeer Al Kuwari works as the Director of Research and Learning Services at Qatar National Library (QNL), her work focusing on supporting library researchers in the Qatari community to explore archives and view libraries as memory institutions that document heritage. She started her journey in the library and information sector in 2011, joining QNL that year. In her current position, she oversees public services in the library and focuses on engaging adults and advising researchers. On an international level, Al Kuwari serves as a vice-chair on the MENA Regional Division Council of IFLA, in addition to serving as an information coordinator in the local history and genealogy section.
She holds a master’s degree in Library and Information Studies from UCLQ, a post-graduate diploma in Leadership and Management from the Leadership and Management Institute in the UK and a bachelor’s degree in education, majoring in English Literature, from Qatar University.
