This program offers a review of the history of the Palestinian keffiyeh and how this headscarf turned into a symbol of resistance. Learn about how the keffiyeh is worn today and its importance as a symbol of the Palestinian cause. The program will be presented by Dr. Yehia Zakaria Al-Agha, ambassador for cultural and educational affairs at the Palestinian Embassy and Vice-Chairman of the Palestinian Schools Board. He has many literary publications, including illuminations in contemporary Palestinian poetry in two parts and many literary and political articles.

The Palestinian folk dance dabke is considered one of the most important traditional art forms in Palestinian. Join us to learn more about the dabke of Palestine with Mohammad Salm.
