Dr. Alan Weber, co-author of the comprehensive handbook E-learning in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), uses an evidence-based educational policy approach to explore what e-learning can achieve for students, teachers and national education systems. He uses the latest statistics from the International Telecommunications Union, IMF and the World Bank to demonstrate the uneven development of computer-assisted learning technologies in the region, with some countries achieving improved student learning outcomes and others struggling with connectivity, broadband internet access and attitudinal barriers to electronic pedagogies. He will also review Qatar's recent innovations in this area. In addition, Dr. Weber will demonstrate how e-learning can foster student-centered best practices in education, including autonomous learning, lifelong learning, peer-to-peer education and flipped classrooms.

Feminine energy isn’t action-driven; it is all in the being. Instead of going out into the external world, the world rises to meet this energy. It is receptive, open and fluid.
