Corresponding authors who are students, faculty, researchers or staff of any institute of higher education or non-profit research institute within Qatar.

Journal Coverage

The agreement covers journals that are fully open access or hybrid and under the CC BY 4.0 license.

Please note that Elsevier journals, which are not covered by the agreements, are also not eligible for funding through the Publishing Fund. 

Instructions for Authors

Corresponding authors submit articles via the standard Elsevier submission process. The corresponding author will receive an email post-acceptance with a unique link to complete the author's journey and choose publishing options. In this stage, the author needs to follow these steps:

• The corresponding authors will need to fill out their personal details.
• When filling out “Publishing Options” (stage 4), please select the Gold OA option.
• When completing “Licenses” (stage 5), please select the CC BY 4.0 option.
• Once the article has been submitted, the Library will receive a notification. The corresponding authors will then be contacted in order to complete the verification process.

We strongly recommend that authors use their Qatari institutional email address.

Acknowledgment

Authors should duly acknowledge QNL funding in the published article, using the following standard statement:

"Open Access funding provided by the Qatar National Library."
