The children’s library is happy to collaborate with our partners at Britannica Group to provide an introductory session about Britannica School, an online resource that helps develop children's love of learning by presenting learning materials in a fun and entertaining manner that encourages exploration.

Supporting our children to develop successful habits can be challenging, but we have you covered! In this second seminar, we’ll learn skills, tips and tricks, and habits to help our children to get to the next level in their academic lives. We will cover subjects from human psychology, neurolinguistic programing and physiology to smart ways to study, how to construct an essay and how to improve your memory.

The family is one of the foundations of every society and significantly influences individuals and their self-confidence. In this session, trainer Hamza Al-Dosari will talk about the first steps of the individual’s transition from singular self to being part of the whole by being an influential element of society. 

Join us for Online Storytime for Children every Monday. We will read stories and make up our own together. 

If you love reading, you'll enjoy this interactive workshop with Muhammad Al-Hail, a middle school student and avid reader, who will help you learn many effective reading methods to develop your reading skills.

Let’s grow our words from roots to leaves in our two-part Poet-Tree writing workshop. Children ages 8 to 12 will learn to write two different types of poems on a common theme. No previous poetry writing experience is required

Since prehistoric times, writing has acted as a form of therapy, a hobby and a survival instinct. The neolithic drawings on the walls of Elba are the lessons that helped our ancestors to survive in difficult times. The Library is continuing this historic tradition of writing by creating time and space for you to express your thoughts and feelings using words.

This session features exchanges of experiences from children’s school librarians in Qatar. These rich experiences came because of years of study, research and practical work in school environments. We will also discuss policies to attract children to reading and ways to teach them how to choose the right books for their purposes, in addition to the balanced methods between virtual and real activities within libraries.
