Participants can discuss this topic with their favorite book or borrow from our collection.

In this writing workshop, participants will learn the most important tools used in writing a story. Distinguished author Jamal Fayez, an experienced writer, will show you the foundations of a proper story as part of the second Qatari Writers Forum at the Library.

Join this casual gathering of knitters and crocheters every Thursday from 9:00 – 11:00 AM to work on projects and share skills in a friendly atmosphere. Participants are welcome to bring their own supplies and projects or borrow the Library’s needles and yarn. All skill levels are welcome, including beginners who are interested in learning. Be sure to check out our collection of books on knitting and crochet while you’re here!

The second Qatari Writers Forum at the Library features several events related to writing and literature in Qatar. The first day will include a debate between Qatari writers on the differences between content and standards of novels and stories. They will also sign and donate copies of the books to the Library's collection. The first day of the forum will conclude with recommendations and results for the coming years. On the second day, there will be a workshop on writing stories.

These talks will be held every Wednesday during October to complement the Gulf Architecture Month conference and exhibition on different aspects and dimensions of architecture past and present in the region. On 16 October, Mohammed Ali Abel will talk about "A Story of a Door in Qatar."
