Need a place to study? How about some help with your homework or assignment? The Library is the place to be. We will have volunteers ready to support you with your academic needs in math, science, and English.

We invite parents, educators, and those interested in parenting and child development to join us to talk about books that have had an impact on their parenting or teaching methods, and share interesting parenting tips and tried best practices. Participants can discuss this topic with their favorite book or borrow from our collection.

In this writing workshop, participants will learn the most important tools used in writing a story. Distinguished author Jamal Fayez, an experienced writer, will show you the foundations of a proper story as part of the second Qatari Writers Forum at the Library.

Did you know that chess improves memory, problem solving and IQ? It's also a wonderful way to improve focus, flex those creativity muscles, and most important, kids have fun playing. Come to Chess Club to learn the basics, make some friends and enjoy a little bit of competition.

Join us to discover and explore the Library's various online resources for middle school and high school students, including research tools, ebooks, audiobooks and periodicals.

Join this casual gathering of knitters and crocheters every Thursday from 9:00 – 11:00 AM to work on projects and share skills in a friendly atmosphere. Participants are welcome to bring their own supplies and projects or borrow the Library’s needles and yarn. All skill levels are welcome, including beginners who are interested in learning. The second Qatari Writers Forum at the Library features several events related to writing and literature in Qatar. The first day will include a debate between Qatari writers on the differences between content and standards of novels and stories. They will also sign and donate copies of the books to the Library's collection. The first day of the forum will conclude with recommendations and results for the coming years. On the second day, there will be a workshop on writing stories.

These talks will be held every Wednesday during October to complement the Gulf Architecture Month conference and exhibition on different aspects and dimensions of architecture past and present in the region. On 16 October, Mohammed Ali Abel will talk about "A Story of a Door in Qatar."

Our Assistive Technology Center provides low-vision patrons with technology that enables them to appreciate our collections and services. Come learn about electronic magnifiers, which increase text to make reading possible.

We invite you to attend an awareness workshop about Qatar's cybercrimes law, held in cooperation with the Economic and Cyber Crime Combating Department of the Ministry of Interior.
