Author Jameela Sultan will read her book The Riyal’s Journey, in which a riyal comes to life and takes Abdullah on an adventurous journey around the world. He learns the value of money and how he can spend it in ways that help other people. We will discuss the book with Jameela after her reading.

UNESCO and the Library are organizing a regional conference, "Supporting Documentary Heritage Preservation in the Arab Region," on 1 – 2 December 2019. The conference aims to strengthen collaboration between memory institutions and conservation practitioners in the region and to present the findings of the Library and UNESCO survey on documentary heritage in the Arab region conducted in May 2019.

Sewing is one of the oldest professions, starting with a simple needle and thread through the development of the modern sewing machine. By using machine to sew fabric and other materials together with thread, people could make better, less expensive clothing. Join us every Saturday in November to create your own standard skirt and take your sewing skills from beginning to professional in one month with creator Nada Jabber Al Ani.
