Weekly Knitting and Crochet Circle

Join this casual gathering of knitters and crocheters every Thursday from 9:00 – 11:00 AM to work on projects and share skills in a friendly atmosphere. Participants are welcome to bring their own supplies and projects or borrow the Library’s needles and yarn. All skill levels are welcome, including beginners who are interested in learning. Be sure to check out our collection of books on knitting and crochet while you’re here!

You and your child are invited to our sensory camp for children who experience sensory processing dysfunction or have difficulties in the area of sensory processing and motor coordination. We also welcome children ages 0 – 3 to help with their sensory development.

Children's Book Club: Sultan Al Bahr

As part of the Children's Book Club, join us to discuss Sultan Al Bahr, by Shaikha Al Zeyara. We will use the book to help learn how and why we think people invented the sail, followed by a quick activity related to the book.
How to Edit Wikipedia

This training will present the main rules and principles of Wikipedia and help future editors create high-quality pages on the crowdsourced encyclopedia.
Draw a Photo from Qatar's History

Come show off your artistic skills by drawing one of our historical photos of Qatar, with instruction and guidance from Qatari artist Fahad Almaadheed. The drawing class will begin with an introduction to the Qatar Photographic Collection at the Heritage Library by librarian Maryam Al-Mutawa.
Bookshare Orientation and Registration (English)

Bookshare is an online database for people with print disabilities. It provides audiobooks, read-along books, DAISY talking books, and braille and large-font books. You can customize your reading experience with ebooks in formats that work according to your needs. This event will help you find resources on Bookshare; the latter part of the program will teach you how to register for membership.
