Hazawi Al’Awalyeen are Qatari fairy tales that were told by grandparents and passed down from one generation to the next. Join storyteller Amena Al-Bader on this journey of memory as we hear some of these traditional tales. Author Asmaa Al-Kuwari will explain which of these stories are based on real events and which are myths, and the way they affected Qatari society.

This workshop will introduce some of the basic techniques and concepts of 3D modeling and its software. You will learn how to create 3D models using specialized software and how to prepare the files for 3D printing.

We invite parents, educators and those interested in parenting and child development to join us to talk about books that have had an impact on their parenting or teaching methods. You will also have the chance to share your interesting parenting tips and best practices. You can discuss this topic using your favorite book or borrow from our collection.

Join this casual gathering of knitters and crocheters every Thursday from 9:00 – 11:00 AM to work on projects and share skills in a friendly atmosphere. Participants are welcome to bring their own supplies and projects or borrow the Library’s needles and yarn. All skill levels are welcome, including beginners who are interested in learning. Be sure to check out our collection of books on knitting and crochet while you’re here!
