This session will show you 3 easy ways to transform your sentences into bold, powerful and exciting writing. We will look at how to write engaging openings, how to use rhythm in parallel sentence structure, and how to use creative metaphors to make a point.

Join us for two hours of creative fun with Lego bricks! In this team-building activity organized by Qatar National Library, groups of five to seven participants must work together to build an architectural structure. We provide the Lego bricks— you provide the imagination!

To mark Autism Awareness Month, join us to learn how to recognize the characteristics and early symptoms of autism in children. A medical team from Hamad General Hospital will conduct workshops to introduce participants to available behavioral and pharmacological treatments. They'll also explain the services for autistic children and their families provided by Hamad Medical Corporation and other institutions in Qatar.

In this month's meeting of Readers and Opinions, we will discuss the Novel My Name is Faraj, by Mohammed Ali Abdullah. In it, Faraj is abducted from his home in Zanzibar and forced into slavery as a pearl diver. He uses his talents to strive for freedom, but discovers that not all chains are physical when he falls in love with the daughter of a noble.
