Have you decided yet which college or university you’ll go to next year? Though many students believe that looking for the right institution or course can be exhausting, it’s never too early to start thinking about the next steps, particularly if you’re thinking about studying overseas. There are many considerations that a student must take into account in order to become successful with their university plans. With the pandemic going on, a face-to-face college fair is unlikely to happen anytime soon.
To help prospective students, Qatar National Library is organizing its first virtual college fair, which will take place from 6 to 10 June 2021, 4:00 to 5:15 PM. This weeklong event aims to help you choose the right institution for your university. Representatives from different institutions abroad will be here to provide you information and assist you with your questions about the admission process, academic programs, scholarships and financial aid. To register, please click here.
By the way, did you know that the Library has a wide range of resources both printed and online that you can access to prepare your university plans? You can check this link for a list of resources related to college admission, as well as effective tips for essays that you can use as a reference as your prepare your requirements. Additionally, this link gives you a list of recommended resources about the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), considered one of the major requirements in studying abroad.
If you need further assistance on how you can access these resources, you can reach out to any of our young adults’ librarians via chat or fill out this online consultation form to book an appointment through the “Ask Our Librarians” service.
