Take 30 minutes and join us for a brief orientation about the Library's online services for adults. You'll be introduced to our various online services and how you can maximize your online Library experience. The session will be conducted online via Microsoft Teams. 

In cooperation with the Qatar Authors Forum, we will broadcast a set of weekly pre-recorded videos in which our librarians will recommend selected books by creative Qatari and international authors. A video will be posted every week for four weeks, starting on 7 October. The broadcast will be via IGTV on our Instagram account (@qnl_engage) and the YouTube channel of the Qatari Authors Forum.

To mark World Day for Audiovisual Heritage on 27 October, the Library, as the IFLA PAC Regional Center for Arab Countries and the Middle East, invites you to join Manoubia Hermi, curator and head of the National Sound Archive at the Centre for Arab and Mediterranean Music, and Hazem Jamjoum, Gulf History Audio Curator at the British Library, in a conversation on audiovisual preservation in the Arab region.

The Library's Open Initiative Award will be given to initiatives that have contributed to the advancement of open scholarship in Qatar.
